- Forced Air Filter

Dear Shell,

I would like to change the air filter on our older forced air filter. The problem is that I can't find it. It's an older Airco model, with an intake high in the wall in the next room covered by a grate. This intake leads directly down into the furnace with no apparent area for a filter in between. So, is there an air filter? I've taken the front access panels off to see if I could locate it, to no avail. We're staring to worry that it's affecting the function and performance of the furnace. Thanks for your help. We've enjoyed listening to your show on the way to church now for years. It even calms our kids down!

Thanks, Ken

Dear Ken,

Sounds as though you never participated in the BC Gas Furnace Tune Up program this year? Please consider this being done by one of our qualified furnace technicians ASAP. Call our office 604-542-2236 for a referral in your area.

It's just that easy.
