- Preparing a log home for stain |
Dear Shell, I have a Panabode Cedar log house. We have finished it with Behr Liquid Rawhide stain. The house is 20 years old and the stain has built up and we have a thick build up of stain. We have lost the fresh log look and want to refinish the house. I have experimented with Biowash Stripex-L and have found it somewhat satisfactory. Is this our best route? Also, do we go directly to Supernatural or do we use Mill Glaze Away first after stripping? Thanks, Greg Dear Greg, To strip the old finish you may have been better to use Bio Wash Rinse or Peel Stripper. Wash the entire building with my Shell Busey's Home Cleaning Formula or Mill Glaze Away. My suggestion would be Supernatural. It is a great finish.
