- Garage Floor - Low Spots

We have a new house & garage. The garage floor has a low area, approximately 8' across and about 2" deep at the lowest point. Water collects and stays in the dip (coming in under the garage door). The floor was poured about 10 months ago. Is it reasonable to expect our contractor to come back and fix the floor? And, regardless of who fixes the floor, how might we fix it? One person we talked to said the entire floor had to be jackhammered out and the floor needed to be re-poured.

Thanks,

John

Dear John,

If you intend to repair this yourself, clean your garage floor using Bio Wash Simple Wash and rinse well with clean water. Apply concrete adhesive over the entire area to be built up. Use premixed mortar cement to build up the area about 1½ inches and feather the edges. To finish to the required thickness, apply Bonded Topping Mix. After curing for a week, apply a solvent based concrete sealer.

It's just that easy.
