- Glueing Arborite to Arborite

Dear Shell,

Is it advisable to put new arborite over existing arborite that is in fine condition except it has been bleached? If so what glue do you use?

Thanks, Duncan

Dear Duncan,

Clean counter surface using 2 tablespoons of TSP (Tri Sodium Phosphate) into 1 litre of hot water. Scrub surface with fine polyester scrub pad (CAUTION: wear rubber gloves). Rinse well with clean water. Using 280 grit sandpaper, lightly sand the surface of the counter. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and remove sink and faucets. Using Contact Cement (solvent based) apply two coats to the surface and two coats on the back of new prepared sheets and lay into place twenty minutes after last Contact Cement application.

It's just that easy.
