- Installing a deadbolt

Use the paper template that comes with the deadbolt to locate the centre points of the cylinder and latch bolt holes.

Use a hole saw to drill the cylinder hole.

Use the paper template that comes with the deadbolt to locate the centre points of the cylinder and latch bolt holes.Use a hole saw to drill the cylinder hole. Use a wood boring bit to drill latch bolt hole. Make sure you keep drill perpendicular to door edge.

Install the cylinder and the latch bolt as directed by the instructions that come with the deadbolt.
