- Refinishing your tub |
Dear Shell, My wife and I purchased our first home this year. The house is 18 years old and needs some work. We have upgraded the windows, ventilation & attic through the Power Smart program (excellent). Next on our list is the bathroom. The finish on our tub is worn out, and I have heard that there may be other alternatives to replacing the tub. Is this true? Any information and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dean Dear Dean, Good, Better, Best: The best way to refinish your tub is to have a tub liner installed i.e.: Bath Fitter at 1-888-378-8655 or BC Tub Liners on the island (250)-744-3145. To do it yourself you could consider the product Klenks Epoxy Tub and Tile Paint. Follow the instructions applying two coats with a foam roller. Apply 1st coat across the tub and the 2nd coat lengthwise on the tub. Make sure you use the Klenks Prep Kit first. It's just that easy. Article courtesy of: Shell Busey |
