- Window condensation

Dear Shell,

My windows have a lot of condensation on them this time of year. Would running my furnace fan at all times help the situation, or should I just be using my exhaust fans more?

Thanks, Dave

Dear Dave,

Using your exhaust fan more is the best way to control excess relative humidity. Running your furnace blower is excellent as well as long as you don't have excessive cold air enter your home via a make up air duct. If this happens consider a Hoyme Damper in your fresh air make up duct. For more information please call toll free 1-800-661-7382 and they will send you some information. You may want to consider installing a basement Humidex which will correct moisture all year long. Call Air Tech at 1-800-416-9111.

It's just that easy.
